Saira Rao’s claim to fame — other than her blue checkmark, of course — is being a failed Democratic congressional candidate who views everything through a lens of racism. And with takes like this, it’s a real shame she’s not serving in elected office somewhere:
Being a Brown or Black person in this country is terrifying. So many friends don’t want to leave their homes, are scared to let their kids out of their sight, don’t trust their colleagues, their neighbors, their “friends.” This level of fear will kill you. And that’s the point.

We’re not sure Saira’s in any position to tell us what the point is. On anything. The only point Saira’s making here is that she’s obsessed with race and willing to ride that crazy train right over the cliff.
This is entirely true, I was terrified yesterday when I went to my neighborhood Publix and they were out of Butter Pecan ice cream. The horror. https://t.co/Hd5XJ5cn1X

I'm black and I feel perfectly safe. It's great living without a victim hood mentality.

I am going to have to talk to my neighbor about this! She & her family have been out & about & talking to all of the white folks. They must not know they are supposed to be fearing us, not enjoying friendships with us!? #EvilWhites #UnityNotDiversity

Hi. American here. Happen to be black. Not terrified in the least. Leave my home (which I own) every day without issue. Kid is out of my sight regularly without qualms on my part. Live/work around trustworthy people.
So….basically everything you said was a lie. #GoodTalk

Fellow “brown person,” here. I feel very safe and love my country. ??
You might want to consider relocating if you truly feel you are in danger.
I wish you well.

Bull. My kids are brown. They arent "terrified".

My haitian neighbor and neighbors from Surinam are constantly in my back yard, playing with my sons, chasing the dog and jumping on the trampoline. They buy us pizza and we make cookies. We take care of each other and dont worry about the color of each others skin.

Same stuff she always babbles about: white people.
Maybe talk to a therapist? My niece was terrified of clowns until my sister took her to a few therapy sessions. There’s help out there. I wish you well.

You seriously may have some mental illnesses.
I've never, in my entire life, felt that way…
Seriously… I'm worried about you. https://t.co/zmKYVhX19W

You should be.
Meanwhile, it’s worth noting that her Twitter background is an ode to Ilhan Omar:
So her concern about bigotry is decidedly … selective. Rao is not a serious person. Treat her accordingly.
