From The Verge:
Popular photo-sharing platform Instagram already allows users to export its photos to other networks, but inside the app has mostly been a walled garden — until now. Today, Instagram CEO Kevin Systrom and Hipstamatic CEO Lucas Buick told Fast Company that the two companies would be announcing a partnership, allowing photos taken with Hipstamatic’s photography app — which includes a wide set of filters and effects — to be directly imported into Instagram. When the feature is unveiled, Hipstamatic users will be able to push their photos, including added tags and comments, into Instagram. Photos will be marked with a “Taken with Hipstamatic” attribution that links back to the app, potentially providing a big revenue boost for Hipstamatic.
Stupid Singularity. Always tantalizingly close, terribly far.
