Those two tweets from former MSNBC contributor Goldie Taylor, posted two months ago, embodied conventional wisdom on the Left at the time. The problem is, that’s probably not what happened, according to St. Louis County’s official autopsy report:
Judy Melinek, a forensic pathologist in San Francisco who reviewed the autopsy for the Post-Dispatch, told the paper that one of the officer’s shots hit Brown’s forearm and traveled from the back of the arm to the inner arm, which means Brown’s palms could not have been facing Wilson, as some witnesses have said. That trajectory shows Brown probably was not taking a standard surrender position with arms above the shoulders and palms out when he was shot outside the officer’s car, she said.
Taylor’s tweets amounted to a smear of police officer Darren Wilson. Ironically, a few days earlier she had accused people of smearing Michael Brown:

She also passed along this article portraying Brown as a “gentle giant.”

Ms. Taylor has locked down her account. We’re guessing she doesn’t want conservatives looking at her old tweets. Understandable!
