Garrett Haake, a reporter for NBC in Kansas City, is flying from Kansas City to Denver today. Unfortunately, United Airlines seems to be having some difficulties.
Still confused how a flight between KC and Denver (where it snows all the time) can be the most-delayed at @KCIAirport – now 2hrs late

After a two-hour delay, United finally pushed back the plane from the gate. Just then, a United worker miraculously appeared at the side of the plane. This worker — let’s call him Exit Door Man — opened the plane’s emergency exit door from the outside.
Then there was this guy, who decided to open emergency exit from the outside as we pushed back. Keep it up, @united pic.twitter.com/84EQgy4f06

My seat-mate at @KCIAirport where @united continues to impress. That's the exit door. pic.twitter.com/JoWEid5bQ3

Another angle. Will be very tough to fly with this door open. @united @KCIAirport //temp on board is 25 degrees pic.twitter.com/5zxsIMXbF1

Attempting to reinstall the emergency exit door. This procedure is NOT on the little cards, FYI. @united pic.twitter.com/w5wNQwUN4W

Passenger who has to sit by this door for the next 2 hours doesn't look super confident. pic.twitter.com/zERcpVBZ5K

(The guy in the middle, however, looks pretty chill.)
Flight attendants now offering couple by the door **anything** they want from the snack or drink cart as compensation for door drama

Flight Attendant: "We have to open that door in training. I know it's heavy."
Lady w/ door in lap: "I know it's heavy!"— Garrett Haake (@GarrettHaake) December 22, 2013
This concludes my twitter rant. If you never hear from me again I've been sucked out of an emergency exit door somewhere over Kansas.
