Like millions of other Americans, journalist David Frum buys health insurance on the individual market. Of course, he won’t be able to keep his existing coverage, despite President Obama’s famous promised.
Today Frum decided to check out healthcare.gov to see how much money he’ll pay by switching to an Obamacare plan. The site didn’t work at first — surprise! — but Frum stuck with it. Although he wasn’t able to create an account he did manage to look at premiums of various plans:

DC Health Exchange locked me out when I answered that I am a naturalized citizen, told me to call an 800 number. Enforcement first!

I can still browse for plans on the DC site, though, so that's something.

I already had a high-deductible plan. Now I can buy a plan with double the deductible for only $200 a month more.

Ouch! We don’t often see eye to eye with Frum on the issues of the day, but we take no joy in his situation.
The Left can deny it all day long, but for millions of Americans like Frum, Obamacare means cancellation letters, higher premiums, and higher deductibles.
