Microsoft rolled out its new operating system, Windows 8, on October 26th. CEO Steve Ballmer insists that consumers “get it and like it.” But sales have been weak, Microsoft’s stock is in decline, and many Twitter reviews are scathing:
Windows 8 really is a pile of dogshit . Worst OS I've ever used.

Windows 8 is ridiculously awful. Don't upgrade as it's a downgrade

I hate you Windows 8. I demand back the Start button, the X on Chrome, and everything else! And I identify as an early adopter.

Windows 8 is literally the worst OS I have ever used. If Vista had a child with an iPad, the resulting abomination would be Windows 8.

Have not even started up my new laptop yet and already I hate Windows 8. Extra layers of unnecessary stuff and can't find anything.

To be fair, there are some positive reviews, too.
Nevertheless, it’s clear that Microsoft has a problem on its hands, notwithstanding Ballmer’s rosy assessment.
