Duck! Egyptian protesters hurl tomatoes, chant 'Monica' at Hillary Clinton's motorcade

Wherever she goes, U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton can’t shake her husband’s philandering past, not even when she visits Egypt to meet with newly elected president Mohamed Morsi.

Protesters hurled shoes and tomatoes at her motorcade, chanting “Irhal, Clinton” (“Get out, Clinton”) as she traveled to the reopening of the U.S. consulate in Alexandria.

Watch a video of protesters chanting here.

Twitter users were bemused.

In her speech before meeting with Morsi, Clinton borrowed a tired line from President Barack Obama about America’s intentions in Egypt:

“I want to be clear that the United States is not in the business, in Egypt, of choosing winners and losers, even if we could, which, of course, we cannot.”

Some weren’t buying it.
