If you missed “Jimmy Kimmel Live” last night, you missed a very important moment. We are at a crossroads, America.
And when the stakes are this high, you bring out the big gun, aka his wife Molly McNearney. Molly is Jimmy’s better half, and she’s an even better messenger for the Democrats than he is. Just watch her impassioned plea to Kimmel’s audience to vote blue to save abortion:
Jimmy Kimmel's wife, Molly, appears during last night's monologue to give a sermon on the need to vote for pro-abortion candidates: "Sorry are you expecting this to be funny, because it's not going to be funny." pic.twitter.com/jyLNh59U39

Wow. Stunning and brave. But even more than that … hella creepy. Not to mention highly inappropriate. The Left’s compulsion to politicize all aspect of our lives is pretty disturbing. And on occasion, illegal.
I imagine all of the people outraged by Elon’s tweet about voting for divided government are fine with this. https://t.co/719kwULs2u

Will the FEC count this as a donation in kind to Democrats in this cycle? Because that's certainly what this looks like. https://t.co/d2DmeCIxD2
— Ed Morrissey (@EdMorrissey) November 8, 2022
We suppose they could … but the way things are going, this in-kind donation probably won’t have made much of a difference. Jimmy and his wife could straight-up stand there and say “VOTE FOR DEMOCRATS TOMORROW” and the handful of people who actually see it won’t be able to do a damn thing. Not that the Left aren’t trying, of course.
Under a totalitarian ideology, there is no escape from politics, no frivolity, no relaxation. The Party's commands are beamed into the minds of its subjects at every hour. No space that could be used to transmit ideological messages can be left untouched. https://t.co/mGwedSCzD2

For people always screeching about the looming threat of right-wing authoritarianism, the Left sure do take a lot of pages from the authoritarian playbook.
But we digress. Back to the monologue.
NARRATOR: No one was expecting it to be funny.

We were not, in fact, expecting it to be funny. https://t.co/Dcb9KojQwj

Ma'am I can assure you that nobody has turned on Kimmel expecting it to be funny for several years. https://t.co/MJJF5sjd0t

This is Jimmy Kimmel’s show, after all. Humor’s not on the ballot over there.
Aww that’s great did she explain if she favors a point at which abortion becomes illegal or does she favor abortion until birth? https://t.co/7foEMZtFw2
— Sunny McSunnyface (@sunnyright) November 8, 2022
She didn’t really get into any of that. She did bust out the intellectually dishonest line about how pro-life laws would force women to carry their babies to term even if their lives would be threatened by doing so, as is the case with ectopic pregnancies (which are not, contra pro-aborts’ insistence, illegal). She also made sure to emphasize how important it is for poor people to be able to abort their unborn kids.
The whole thing was weird, honestly. Weird and cringey and uncomfortable to watch. And if it’s uncomfortable for us, just imagine how the Kimmels’ son must feel:
2017: A teary eyed Jimmy Kimmel stumps for the Affordable Care Act, citing his ailing child.
2022: A teary eyed Molly Kimmel stumps for abortion, arguing for the "right" to terminate her children. https://t.co/iCqcDiyfKw

Yeah … we wish that kid lots of luck. And a good therapist. Can’t be easy to grow up in a house listening to your parents talk about how important it is to preserve the “right” to kill your unborn brothers and sisters.
If abortion is mercy then the network should abort this show.
I can’t remember what network he’s on, all these shows are copies of each other. https://t.co/LwsjtvZFJ2

Distracting from the record setting inflation with child sacrifice seems like a bold political strategy.

But what do we know?
Remember when Johnny Carson scolded you for not appreciating sky-high piles of dead babies? Some things never change. https://t.co/ArexkbcDgr
