In case you hadn’t heard the news, the EU has decided to tackle the ongoing energy crisis over there by cracking down on electricity use at peak hours, which shouldn’t be a problem for anyone who lives in a cave. They’re doing this to “flatten the curve.”
NOW – EU will propose a "mandatory target for reducing electricity use at peak hours" in order to "flatten the curve." pic.twitter.com/Q6EuLLTM0L

If that sounds a little familiar to you, join the club. It sounded familiar to GOP Sen. Ted Cruz, too:
Just two weeks to slow the spread? https://t.co/j3H2TZZnWI
— Ted Cruz (@tedcruz) September 7, 2022
Heh.
Given the EU’s language on this, I’d say Cruz’s tweet is entirely fair. But disgraced former CNN host Chris Cuomo couldn’t disagree more:
Who wants leaders who focus on progress and common concerns instead of being snark machines spreading discontent on social media? https://t.co/dlTal3xek0
— Christopher C. Cuomo (@ChrisCuomo) September 7, 2022
Huh?
It's up to Ted Cruz to solve Europe's energy crisis? https://t.co/yvYuYEnYGT
— Stephen L. Miller (@redsteeze) September 7, 2022
Um, how is Cruz not focusing on progress and common concerns by spotlighting government efforts to further intrude in people’s lives, efforts that will inevitably make bad situations infinitely worse? That’s not being a snark machine or spreading discontent on social media; it’s called being realistic. And intellectually honest.
To be fair, Chris Cuomo isn’t familiar with either of those concepts.
The CNN veteran is attacking "snark machines spreading discontent"? https://t.co/hi8iuk6Qxb

The left/media loved it when Obama snarked at Romney and mocked him over correctly identifying Russia as a geopolitical foe. https://t.co/Zrhy2jHdsu

We know it’s been a while, but we can’t recall Chris Cuomo ever shaming President Obama for that. And, in more recent history, he hasn’t voiced any concerns about Democratic Rep. Eric Swalwell’s social media conduct.
Fredo, I’d like to introduce you to @ericswalwell. When he’s not cheating on his wife with Chinese spies or farting on camera, snark and discontent on social media are the only other things he seems to have time for. https://t.co/1FL4oXigDn pic.twitter.com/Dkh2TTrYXF

Chris has never heard of Eric Swalwell https://t.co/mpSG42NWgq

Or his own brother. Or himself.
Remember when you gave your brother oppo on the women who accused him of sexual harassment? https://t.co/fN9eFS4Gxw

Oof.
I don’t know… maybe snark is acceptable over say… murdering 11,000 or so seniors cause you want to hurt a political opponent. https://t.co/F9xSYYcgKF
— TheEternalAbyss (@TheEternalAbys) September 7, 2022
Ooooooof.
This tweeter has some parting advice for Chris … I would suggest Chris take it:
Maybe go back into hiding bro https://t.co/RLqfIMETM0
