Yesterday, the Biden administration announced their intent to appeal Judge Kathryn Kimball Mizelle’s ruling that struck down the mask mandate on airplanes and other public transportation.

The White House has put the ball in the CDC’s court. OK, then.
White House official tells me they expect CDC to agree on need for appeal. Officials are worried about the long-term risk of CDC’s authority being undermined. https://t.co/IXAoMrzPpm

The CDC has spent the past couple of years making decisions and issuing directives based less on science and more on helping Democrats maintain their stranglehold on Americans’ daily lives, so of course they’d support renewing the mandate. Gotta keep those boots on our necks! What’s funny is that the CDC’s commitment to keeping everyone masked up for as long as possible could ultimately be the Democratic Party’s undoing this November. But we’ll come back to that.
Earlier today, former FDA commissioner and CNBC contributor Dr. Scott Gottlieb also weighed in on the mask mandates being lifted:
"The risks here from this ruling aren't the immediate impact on public health. It was time to lift the mask mandates. The risks are longer term and what this does to potentially erode CDC's authority," says @ScottGottliebMD pic.twitter.com/5tE2og0vT9

Hol’ up, doc … lifting mask mandates could potentially erode the CDC’s authority? Newsflash: The CDC’s authority, or at least their credibility, has already been eroded — by the CDC.
I don't know what 'authority' @ScottGottliebMD thinks CDC has but whatever it is, it absolutely must be totally and completely eroded.

When the CDC started making policy by direction of the Teacher's Unions, they lost their credibility. It is gone. Dead and buried.

Oh, Dr. Gottlieb … oh, CDC … you guys are hilarious. Not on purpose, maybe, but still hilarious.
The whole point is that the cdc exceeded their authority. This doesn’t curtail anything. It restores the cdc to their statutory purpose. You don’t like that, then you need congress to expand their authority legally, with accountability

Hey, why doesn’t Congress expand the CDC’s authority? After all, the midterms are already shaping up to be a bloodbath for the Democrats … they might as well go out with a bang.
I strongly strongly urge the WH to aggressively challenge this judge’s decision & Democrats to campaign on the mask mandate’s reimposition. Hold floor votes on it. It would be a +22 issue for them, based on this survey. Blue Twitter is abuzz. Go for it! https://t.co/9eFYHWx5Bd
