Any way you slice it, a downward trend in the number of COVID cases is a good thing. And now that that’s actually happening, our old pal, Media Matters alumnus Eric Boehlert, is wondering when President Joe Biden is going to get props:
btw remember in January all the media caterwauling abt schools “closing” under Biden
today, 99.75% schools open — press shrugs; https://t.co/tCTeaSBOa7
— Eric Boehlert (@EricBoehlert) February 16, 2022
We weren’t aware that Ron DeSantis had changed his name to Joe Biden. Were you?
Anyway, our other old friend, AFT President Randi Weingarten, is apparently also waiting for the fanfare for Biden to get going:
Covid cases plummet — when does Biden get credit? , by @EricBoehlert https://t.co/Ge7kmiMFZy
— Randi Weingarten (@rweingarten) February 16, 2022
Considering all the money that Randi Weingarten’s teachers’ union and other teachers’ unions have poured into Biden’s and Democrats’ campaigns in return for all kinds of sweet favors, it makes sense that Weingarten would want to paint Biden in such a good light.
And considering all that Randi Weingarten stands for, it makes sense that Weingarten get dragged for this.
Randi knows it, too, which is why she’s taken precautionary steps to mitigate the backlash:
Bless her heart, but that’s not gonna do her much good.

Restricting replies is the tell https://t.co/znLjAYg5gk

The restricted replies aren’t gonna stop that ratio. https://t.co/lcohKp6KJc

You can't hide your ratio from quote tweets https://t.co/ukimhj4iid

It’s a pretty impressive ratio so far:
Let’s take a closer look, shall we?

@rweingarten
"COVID deaths spiked – when does Biden get credit?""Joe Biden has presided over more cases, hospitalizations & deaths than the former POTUS." https://t.co/13YsyxxMeH
— Beersaint (@USMC_Razorback) February 16, 2022
Shall we also give him credit for fighting off the night so that the sun can rise each morning?
What other natural phenomena shall we give him credit for? https://t.co/k5SpCqQMoT
— StillMisanthropic (@StillMisanthro1) February 16, 2022
Why don’t we give Joe Biden credit for the stuff he’s actually responsible for? Disastrous withdrawals. Inflation. Widespread economic instability. Struggling schoolchildren. To name just a few.
He doesn't… that's not how this works. https://t.co/Sz5K1Q6R5Q
— Noyb (@Noyb2021) February 16, 2022
That’s not how any of this works, Randi.
Ive never seen a better use of the Twitter echo chamber function than @rweingarten's predictable use of it here. When you are able to get your chicken-shit self equipped to engage in discourse, let us know bc you will be EVISCERATED in a skinny minute, you insufferable twatwaffle https://t.co/aq6PaMKt9O
