The COVID19 pandemic has been hard on all of us, but it’s been especially difficult for teachers. At least according to a survey funded by … the National Education Association and the American Federation of Teachers.
And we all know how honest and reliable teachers’ unions are.
Make sure you have a full box of Kleenex handy, because you’re about to start weeping with sympathy for the teachers’ plight:
Teachers were more stressed than everyone else working during pandemic https://t.co/I7uKSiLIqr

More stressed than everyone else. Literally no one was more stressed than teachers during the pandemic. Not frontline workers, not medical personnel, not business owners, and certainly not parents.
Ok, but there were others too

I don’t know about this… I’m a HS teacher and while the job was more stressful than previous years, I don’t know that I’d say I was “more stressed than everyone else” 🤔 that’s discounting a LOT of people
— Court💜 (@feistyfunsized) June 18, 2021
A LOT of people.
That’s highly debatable

Yeah, no.
How about every parent!

I think the kids were!
— ms mouse (@msmouse28114901) June 18, 2021
More stressed…then case managers who have to make face to face home visits to group homes, foster homes and caregivers homes. Why do ppl always forget thr kids on care??!!!

No offense, try working in a grocery store…

Talk to healthcare workers.
— BlackKnight85 (@Chenry74) June 18, 2021
As a healthcare worker. I think it’s safe to say we were pretty stressed out as well.
— JMS (@1926e52c2f9f431) June 18, 2021
Nope , as a HS teacher , I can say the school nurse had it much harder than me no doubt about that
— Brian connolly (@Brianconnolly33) June 18, 2021
I get it but front line employees in grocery stores and hospital nurses would beg to differ 🤷🏽♂️
— SmoothT23 (@Smoothtt23) June 18, 2021
More than ICU nurses?
— John Rutledge (@drjohnrutledge) June 18, 2021
Meanwhile, nurses were swimming in highly contagious COVID units with sub-par personal protection equipment, for months at a time. We couldn’t work from home or do our work through zoom classes.
— Janet (@redselchie) June 18, 2021
Pretty sure there's a whole lot of front line medical workers who had it worse.
— Paul O'Beirne (@Boiny44) June 18, 2021
Heroic essential workers, from medical personnel, researchers, and even service workers? Out of the way, the AFT needs to rehab its image.
— Shawn (@Shawn_on_Games) June 18, 2021
I don't know, my father, a small town retired respiratory therapist was pretty stressed when they pulled him out of retirement to help with the exploding caseload of this highly deadly virus.
— Steven Thompson 🧢 (@stevenThompson8) June 18, 2021
I’m going to go with nurses and medical professionals on that. Or May be small restaurant owners that lost everything. Teachers pay was never in jeopardy.
— Matt Keller (@OU_Keller) June 18, 2021
I’m so sorry that they had to work from home in pajamas all day while doctors and nurses Er techs etc. watched people die daily alone. Acting as doctors as family. Whole worrying they were going to die or accidentally kill their families. But no. Teachers. Okay.
— cassie (@cassieeelouuu) June 18, 2021
Let’s be clear: there are a lot of good teachers out there. Great teachers, even. But teachers unions do them all a great disservice by pulling crap like this.
