Popular Science is ostensibly about, well, popular science.
But we’d like to know what their current definition of “popular” and “science” are, because the views expressed in this tweet seem to be neither popular nor scientific:
People think beef is manly, and that’s a big problem https://t.co/nhJu7KRtgR pic.twitter.com/nqzJSkLbh8

We should note that Popular Science was sharing an article originally published in October 2019. Apparently they thought it would be a good one to dust off again on a day when many Americans would be having barbecues where beef would be served.
According to our calculations, it was not, in fact, a good idea.
But hey, don’t take our word for it:

You're right. We need to normalize and accept that women and children can enjoy beef too!

We can't lower our meat consumption because meat is awesome. End of article.

Eating meat helped humans to develop larger brains, which eventually led to farming and society in general… but do go on with your "science" magazine pushing a social justice trope.

Popular science has managed to become elitist, unpopular, and unrelated to science. Amazing
