Democratic congresswoman and birthing person Cori Bush is all about doing what’s best for her constituents.
That’s why it’s so awesome that she’s decided to use crowdsourcing to help her decide between two names she’s been mulling over for her “legislation that will transform our approach to policing and public safety”:
Ok fam, I need your help. In just a few weeks, I’ll be introducing legislation that will transform our approach to policing and public safety.
We’re torn between two names: The Just Response Act and The People’s Response Act.
Which one should we pick?

So difficult to choose between two euphemisms!
I vote for "The Just Response Act." The other one is too vague and could apply to anything having to do with people. "Just" refers to justice, so it's a more logical fit.

“People’s Response Act” seems to be winning this race:
People's Response Act
BUT, "Response" sounds weak… How about "People's Justice Act?"

Definitely The People’s Response Act

“The People’s Response Act”
So history will point to who wanted a more just society…the people.

The People’s Response Act. Make it good Cori.

Well, given Cori Bush’s status as a member of the congressional Squad, we have a pretty good idea about what she has in mind when she talks about transforming our approach to policing and public safety. And it’s not, in fact, good.
Go ahead, defund the police.
