A little over a month ago, Secretary of State Antony Blinken said that we’re not trying to contain China or keep it down or anything like that:
Blinken: "Whether it's China, Russia, or anyone else, we're not standing against any of those countries. We're not trying to, for example, contain China or keep it down. What we are about is standing up for basic principles, basic rights, & a rules-based international order."

We’re sure you’ll be comforted to know that Blinken is consistent in his cravenness.
Here’s what he recently told “60 Minutes”:
“I want to be very clear about something,” says Secretary of State Antony Blinken. “Our purpose is not to contain China, to hold it back, to keep it down. It is to uphold this rules-based order that China is posing a challenge to.” https://t.co/og55Ozf20D pic.twitter.com/r5CNDrgb0J

Beg your pardon, Mr. Secretary?
My purpose is not to contain my laughter, hold it back, to keep it down; but…
HAHAHAHAHAHAAAAHAHA
Blinken couldn't write a Chinese national a parking ticket in DC without calling Beijing first.
"Rules based order" hahahah

We don’t blame you for laughing … anything to avoid breaking down and crying, which would be a completely understandable and warranted response to Blinken’s remarks.
I’ve seen better and stronger leadership from the HOA… https://t.co/YtVOR9uw02

Blinken is pathetic. Sad https://t.co/mZsrTB5w95

Our purpose, according to Blinken, is to try “to uphold this rules-based order” despite China doing everything in its power to undermine all the rules. And Blinken apparently wants to ensure that China continues to pose a challenge to the rules-based order, because he’s going out of his way to avoid holding China accountable.
This is the kind of failed thinking that led us to this point. https://t.co/1fPTUp2A1g

Under President Xi, the CCP is charging full steam ahead in the wrong direction by repressing political & religious minorities, using predatory economic practices, and exerting & expanding an aggressive military posture throughout the globe https://t.co/UeVD4OXYlP

What’s that saying about those who don’t learn from history?
This view of China is very much the argument that Neville Chamberlain had for Nazi era Germany.
Read some of Chamberlain's writings…this isn't an overstatement. https://t.co/5DR5kOGpge

Joe Biden’s administration hasn’t inspired much confidence thus far. With Antony Blinken as Secretary of State, that’s apparently what they’re going for.
Translation: "Our purpose is not to defend the American national interest, properly defined—it is to defend the liberal imperium." https://t.co/e5sWdNN0J3

We’re no international policy experts or cabinet members, but it seems to us that Antony Blinken could use a few reminders about what it is that the United States is supposed to do when confronted by dangerous global economic, geopolitical, and human rights threats.
Our purpose should should be to contain China, to hold it back, and to keep it down. https://t.co/xdNnHmGsVS

The Chinese Communist Regime is actively committing genocide. They should be contained, held back, and kept down to the extent possible. If Blinken is not willing to do that, we should have a new Secretary of State. https://t.co/3MEdK16JNR
