Remember Sarah Cooper? It’s OK if you don’t. Since Donald Trump left office, her cringey lip-synching anti-Trump comedy schtick really hasn’t served a purpose.
Well anyway, she’s still around, gracing Twitter with what we can only assume are supposed to be hilarious takes. Like this one, for example:
Beauty trick: pull your mask up so far over your nose that it hides the bags under your eyes pic.twitter.com/n6WitHEhZm

Not rolling on the floor while clutching your aching sides? Neither is Glenn Greenwald, who made this rather astute observation:
Trump's departure made her disappear faster than MSNBC's ratings. https://t.co/aVmtJojimp

While you try to find the lie in Greenwald’s tweet, consider how Soledad O’Brien has chosen to frame it:

Glenn Greenwald pointing out that Sarah Cooper’s comedy career is on life support without Donald Trump to fuel it is “hating on women”? Since when is stating a fact misogynistic? Isn’t it a lot more sexist to boil Sarah Cooper’s whole identity down to her sex, which is only one aspect of who she is as a person?

Typical Soledad O’Brien.
Soledad yet again hating on Jews and LGBTs. Filled with bigotry and hatred. https://t.co/5f49Yd6TUd

So is any criticism of you defacto anti-gay?
— benjamin abel (@crabby_goat) April 2, 2021
Yes. I'm not the one who makes the rules. I just live under them. (It's also anti-semitic: please don't erase that)
— Glenn Greenwald (@ggreenwald) April 2, 2021
Shame on Soledad O’Brien. For this stuff, and also just in general. She’s just a bad person.
It must be exhausting being this miserable
— jeremy (@JeremyCalling) April 2, 2021
I don't know. Soledad seems fine with it. I would't worry about her.
— Glenn Greenwald (@ggreenwald) April 2, 2021
Worry about all the people who are so eager to buy the crap that people like Soledad O’Brien are selling.
I'm going to end every argument this way. Disagree with me or make fun of me in any way, and you'll get called out for being anti-whatever oppressed group circle(s) I fall into. https://t.co/c10ZstUKpa

Astonishing to me that blue checkmarks can routinely level accusations of misogyny (or transphobia, or bigotry of any sort), with no evidence whatsoever, and get away with it. https://t.co/6aORAMOSpt
