Former Joe Biden campaign rapid response director's previous swipe at Donald Trump isn't looking too good today

We should expect a lot of very, very poorly aged takes on Joe Biden today in the wake of his series of falls while climbing up the stairs to Air Force One.

But we feel pretty compelled to shine a very special light on this one in particular, from Andrew Bates, who served as rapid response director for Joe Biden’s presidential campaign.

Last August, Bates couldn’t help but gush over Biden’s adroitness on plane steps:

Well, it’s March 19, and there are still crises under President Joe Biden. Crises that have ramped up under Joe Biden, actually.

And Joe Biden is not looking so vigorous today, is he?

Better luck next time, Andrew.
