Anyone else troubled by constitutional law professor Laurence Tribe effectively calling for censorship?

Laurence Tribe is a professor at Harvard Law School. So you’d think that he of all people would appreciate the importance of the First Amendment.

Alas, his support is apparently conditional.

In light of Donald Trump’s vile tweets about Joe Scarborough’s dead intern Lori Klausutis, Tribe’s right there with tech journo Kara Swisher.

He wants Jack Dorsey to “cleanse Twitter of this Trump stain”:

Laurence Tribe churns out garbage takes on a regular basis. You don’t see us calling for Dorsey to cleanse Twitter of the Tribe stain.

As an alleged constitutional scholar, Tribe should be arguing for Trump’s tweets to remain on the platform, regardless of how awful those tweets are. Take a stand for freedom of speech.
