As Twitchy told you, the Washington Post got rightly smacked around for this brazen and offensive attempt to white wash the anti-Semitism of Jeremy Corbyn’s Labour Party:
Britain's chief rabbi blasts Labour Party for anti-Semitic "poison."
The Labour Party has been hit by claims of anti-Seminism because of strong statements on Palestinian rights. https://t.co/lgwE1lKkFK
— The Washington Post (@washingtonpost) November 26, 2019
Well, after having some time to think about it, they’ve realized that they made a huge mistake and issued an apology:
Sorry about that typo, that should be "anti-Semitism."
— The Washington Post (@washingtonpost) November 26, 2019
Sorry about that typo, you guys.
THAT'S YOUR CORRECTION?!?!?
— Scott Kahn of JCH (@JewishCoffeeH) November 26, 2019
Hmmm any other issues perhaps?
— Jo Kent (@MissJoKent) November 26, 2019
And you think the typo is the real problem here?
— FJ (@Natsecjeff) November 26, 2019
Because the typo is the problem here, not the complete distortion of the situation pic.twitter.com/l81kFjODfQ

The typo wasn't the real problem ⬇️https://t.co/gugamLnLXC

The fact that they’re apologizing for the typo as opposed to the actual content of their tweet arguably makes their initial take even more offensive, because it appears that they’re going out of their way to avoid blaming the Labour Party’s anti-Semitism for the Labour Party’s reputation as anti-Semitic.
That is your only correction? The tweet 100% misrepresents the concerns of Jews and their allies in the UK.

You guys have a lot more to be sorry about for that train wreck of a tweet.

Is that it?! Really? Shame on you.
— M ? (@micmicmic1) November 26, 2019
THAT'S what y'all going to apologise for?! Insane. Please delete this tweet, and then y'all whole account pic.twitter.com/QXfdyDvGIi

Your journalism is a typo.

Update:
Oh, hey. Looks like they might have eventually gotten around to the real issue:
We've deleted a tweet that was not accurate and incorrectly summarized Post reporting.
Labour members have been accused of making anti-Jewish statements, which should not have been conflated with statements on Palestinian rights. https://t.co/iLqgBANkhg pic.twitter.com/yV1nzb8d3t
— The Washington Post (@washingtonpost) November 26, 2019
Let’s all give them a big hand, everybody.
getting there! https://t.co/k9sfO7amRz
