It’s been a tough day for the Resistance, thanks in no small part to Robert Mueller failing to deliver the desired knockout punch to Donald Trump. Laurence Tribe, who’s put a lot of time and energy into destroying Donald Trump, is taking it especially hard:
Much as I hate to say it, this morning’s hearing was a disaster. Far from breathing life into his damning report, the tired Robert Mueller sucked the life out of it. The effort to save democracy and the rule of law from this lawless president has been set back, not advanced.

Sounds like Laurence could use a hug.

#Resistance HQ took quite a shelling today.#MuellerTime https://t.co/l5qnXQMyBd

We’re honestly not sure what else they were expecting.
Mueller signaled very explicitly ahead of time that he didn't want to testify and that if he did, he'd just stick quite narrowly to the report. So if Dems think the hearing went poorly, they should be blaming leadership and others who called for the hearing, not Mueller. https://t.co/M88Jq42v5e

The Resistance was foolish to put all their eggs in the Mueller basket.
But not everyone’s as ready as Laurence to throw in the towel just yet.
The comments are just precious. https://t.co/l5qnXR49ZN

They are. Here’s just a taste:
Go back and watch @tedlieu exchange, reconsider your conclusion.
— David W.S. Lieberman (@DwsLieberman) July 24, 2019
I completely disagree. The exchange between Ted Lieu and Mueller was damning and effective.
— Jason Overstreet (@JasonOverstreet) July 24, 2019
We watched completely different hearings. I thought the GOP shit the bed. Ted Lieu was a rockstar.

I don't agree. It clarified, over and over:
1) our election in 2016 was hacked and DT knew
2) obstruction took place
3) if he wasn't a resident in the W.H. he's be toast
4) impeachment (now) or indictment (once out of office)— Liberty & Justice for All (@NotSoProudYank) July 24, 2019
I suspect you'll be ratioed on this one.
Mueller said what was important. He clarified that Trump was NOT exonerated and CAN be impeached and/or charged upon leaving office. He's been under tremendous pressure and has been forced to end his career. He's not there to LOOK GOOD.

I think there was enough for us to move forward with Impeachment

They’re going to die on this hill.
This is just sad. https://t.co/c4APVyNMIS
