Democratic Rep. Ro Khanna loves him some Nicolas Maduro, so it should come as no surprise that he just can’t muster anything more than a half-assed, insincere condemnation of the Maduro regime’s brutal oppression of the Venezuelan people.
But it takes some serious balls to try to place government-sanctioned mowing down of protesters at the feet of Vice President Mike Pence and then urge “diplomacy and restraint”:
The Vice President has no place inciting violence in Venezuela. We cannot allow ourselves to contribute toward a civil war abroad. Instead, this is the moment for diplomacy and restraint. pic.twitter.com/A4ZPTPbUDX

By “diplomacy and restraint,” he means looking the other way while Maduro wages war against his own people — and blaming our vice president for the whole thing.
Please shut up… you obviously dont know what is going on here!

The violence was already happening. The VP didn't incite it, you mental midget. https://t.co/QebO3bliBS

There was no inciting of violence you were deliberately lying ?

Diplomacy with a tyrant? Yea…good luck with that..
— Some Dude (@OhMilkSteak) April 30, 2019
And your magical solution to ending this narco tyranny is? It’s all well and good to ask for diplomacy when you’re not living in this hellhole with no food, medicines or electricity and a regime whose only aim is to enrich themselves. You’re supporting the wrong side here.

you going to talk about the socialist government running protesters over in the street or are you going to fixate on propagandizing?
— O. H. (@dominionofme) April 30, 2019
Rep. Khanna, did the Leftist tyrant Maduro get your memo about restraint and diplomacy?
Check out this video of today's socialist mass ATROCITIES and let me know.
Otherwise, respond to REALITY, do something to STOP the MURDER. https://t.co/ZAKPITaVbW

This diplomacy you’re talking about has not brought peace to Venezuela but hunger, misery, destruction. Why not support Venezuelan People?
— AleMa (@GMCKSaleMa) April 30, 2019
It is not a civil war. It’s a ruthless dictatorship that has sunk the country into utter chaos and collapse. Venezuelans deserve freedom, not “restraint”
— María Luisa Paúl (@marialuisapaulr) April 30, 2019
Ro Khanna needs to restrain himself.
Rep. Khanna is either ignorant and naive or complicit in Maduro’s actions, which would make him in either case unfit for the office he holds.

YOU are a complete disgrace Khanna
