As Twitchy told you earlier, CNN’s resident hall monitor Brian Stelter seemed pretty satisfied with MMFA president Angelo Carusone’s B.S. explanation for those old bigoted blog posts. That nonchalance becomes even more striking when you consider how breathlessly Stelter covered Tucker Carlson’s old remarks.
It’s almost as if our brave firefighters are more interested in ignoring actual fires in order to start new ones. That’s what Stephen Miller, aka @redsteeze, seems to think, and we reckon he’s onto something:
The people who would usually be in a rage and tizzy over old blog posts about jews and trannys all use MMFA for sourcing. It's that simple. Which is fine. But don't tell me you're a firefighter doing journamalism.

And it should tell you something about the fact those people use MMFA to begin with and feel the need to provide cover for them every time they moralize to you about how Democracy Dies in Apple and Bananas.

MMFA is a left wing smear merchant (and admittedly so) given cover by CNN and NBC to pretend they are a journalistic news outlet. MMFA isn't the problem here. The problem is who they draw influence from.

MMFA have demonstrated themselves to be a garbage “watchdog” for years now. Yet somehow, they’re still treated as credible by many media outlets. Which goes to show that maybe — just maybe — those media outlets aren’t credible themselves.
