Looking for surefire way to get Democrats to stop blathering? All you’ve gotta do is bring up a scandal implicating one of their own and they clam up.
Just look at what happened when Democratic Sen. Dick Durbin was asked to comment on the sexual assault allegations against Virginia Lt. Gov. Justin Fairfax:
“What do you think of what’s happening in Virginia, specifically with Justin Fairfax?” I ask.
“I don’t live there,” Senate Democratic Whip Dick Durbin responded. “I’m not getting into that.”— Matt Laslo (@MattLaslo) February 7, 2019
How do you like that?

"I don't live there."
Surely @DickDurbin can't seriously mean that this type of behavior should be tolerated based on geography. pic.twitter.com/9Hp2epfI2c

Oh, but surely he can.
I'm sure it wouldn't be too hard to find Durbin commenting on some GOPer in some town somewhere saying something dumb. https://t.co/D1zf1tsOIj

Facts. You know he doesn't hold the same standard when commenting on Republicans.
— Mickey White (@BiasedGirl) February 7, 2019
Not a chance in hell he wouldn’t jump all over the opportunity to comment if Fairfax’s (or the other two) name(s) were followed by an (R).

Ahem:
"Durbin: Akin’s Comments On Rape Indicate ‘Troubling’ Mindset"https://t.co/IBWtGgwDNw
— George Purcell (@gpurcell) February 7, 2019
But since Durbin doesn’t want to talk about this, there’s obviously only one conclusion we can draw:
Democrats Condone Racism and Rape https://t.co/GRgdaHnzu4
