Great news this morning, as Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg has been discharged from the hospital, reportedly free of any trace of cancer:

Wonder if, now that she’s back in the land of the living, she’ll consider Mother Jones’ swipe at her cult of personality — and at Ginsburg herself:
"No amount of hagiography can obscure the fact that, while Ginsburg is responsible for a great number of landmark legal decisions, her legacy may be sorely tarnished by one terrible one: refusing to retire when Obama could have named her replacement." https://t.co/KHUqL4zjGV
— Mother Jones (@MotherJones) December 26, 2018
Oh, my!
She should be jailed
— Comfortably Smug (@ComfortablySmug) December 26, 2018
Ha! But seriously. It’s pretty hilarious to watch some of the people who have turned her into a veritable living god turn on her.
Ginsburg isn't woke enough for the left now https://t.co/6O6mD5qEML

So basically "we loved her political stances and judicial style but she didn't leave at the right time to help us continue our power driven mission of political and judicial activism, so f her" – damn these leftists aint loyal

Some of Ginsburg’s supporters are arguing that Ginsburg retiring during the Obama years wouldn’t’ve made much of a difference because of what happened to Merrick Garland (may he rest in peace):
*cough* Merrick Garland *cough*
*cough* Mitch McConnell *cough*— David Hughes (@DHughesNYC) December 26, 2018
Like Merrick Garland? That worked out well
— Trish Holmgren (@fishhomeagain) December 26, 2018
Scalia created a vacancy. Remember how that worked out.
— KarenP (@ktparrish48) December 26, 2018
He could have named a replacement but would turtle Mitch have even taken up a vote considering what happened with Merrick Garland? Good to speculate but what would have been the reality?
— Kathleen Wolchak (@kwolchak) December 26, 2018
We know how the Garland nomination went. It would have given the republicans another blocked nomination and another justice
— lauraatdia (@lauraatdia) December 26, 2018
So offensive SCOTUS shouldn't be political and if he couldn't get MG through then why would any new justice be different?
— Bee Kay (@Monarchwarrior) December 26, 2018
Give me a damn break!?!? Did y’all forget McConnell SWORE he wouldn’t approve ANY judicial nominees? There were HUNDREDS waiting in the wings for the GOP to fill & fill they did. With some seriously unqualified & biased jerks out there.
— The Centrist Vet (@TerrieG633) December 26, 2018
I dunno. Timing is everything. Scalia died while Obama had almost a year left in office. McConnell made sure Obama never got the chance. Imagine what would have happened if RBG retired just before Scalia died?
— Bill Collins (@LBVCollins) December 26, 2018
Oh please, Mitch McAsshole would have blocked her replacement too. Queen RGB’s legacy will be that she’s a badass and completely untarnished.

Plenty are just straight-up offended by Mother Jones’ suggestion:
Nope!
— Scarlett Rabe (@scarlettrabe) December 26, 2018
This tweet reeks of #ageism .
— Hoaryhead (@HOARYHEAD) December 26, 2018
Not in agreement at all. RBG is a great Justice, and deserves to serve as long as she wishes. Kennedy resigned FOR Trump, and look what happened.

Another opinion going after another high profile woman. There is no purpose for this article, other than to stir the pot. Pontificating on what MIGHT have been.
— missyjmcbee (@missyjmcbee) December 26, 2018
It does no good to excoriate. On the plus side, she’s a brilliant role model and she’s lucid.
— Herb Neu (@HerbNeu) December 26, 2018
Should have brought her to heel, amIright? pic.twitter.com/34f2EUdM8N

Delicious.
Hey, here’s a thought:
I would argue the one fault of her supporters is we should not make cults out of anyone especially people in government. https://t.co/AMBCAzUaJZ

That’s just crazy talk.
