We can’t decide whether we want Democratic Rep. Eric Swalwell to shut up or keep talking. On the one hand, we’re tired of listening to him. On the other hand, he’s such a lousy spokesman for the Democrats, we can’t help but want to see him make asses of himself and his party.
"I don’t want to rush to impeachment, I would prefer that it happened at the ballot box. But, there’s also big red lines that he cannot cross. The rule of law is important in this country,” Democrat @RepSwalwell says. https://t.co/sW8jKlE5qZ pic.twitter.com/dejAla3Tnd

The rule of law is indeed important — regardless of who’s in power. But frankly, it’s hard to take Swalwell’s attempt at righteous indignation seriously given a lot of the other stuff he’s said.

Last time we checked, enforcing the rule of law didn’t involve nuking a large group of Americans. But Swalwell was willing to bypass the ballot box when he discussed doing just that.
Says the guy who teased he would use nuclear weapons on civilians

Will you use nukes? That's your preferences of weapon to use against Americans.
— J C (@martini_henery) December 11, 2018
I mean I guess it's progress that @RepSwalwell didn't threaten to nuke him, right?

The Rep’s solution to problems is usually to nuke it into submission. pic.twitter.com/XbONjbmfIR

The same @RepSwalwell that suggested using nukes be used on American citizens if the stood up for their rights? I guess he'd know all about crossing lines.

I refuse to listen to @RepSwalwell until he nukes us gun owners, as he promised.

Meanwhile:
Swalwell has been interviewed a number of times since his comments suggesting the government would nuke Americans who resist a theoretical gun confiscation scheme. As far as I'm aware, he hasn't been asked even once about those comments. https://t.co/TEJ1pDZ2G3 https://t.co/0MhZ4YoVjf

Don’t hold your breath … you’ll pass out long before he ever has to answer for those comments.
