Just when we think we’re out … she pulls us back in.
We’d like nothing more than to take a break from covering Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s chronic stupidity, but dammit if she doesn’t keep looking for new ways to top herself. Like this, for example. She’s sick and tired of the “double standard” that’s clearly at play when it comes to her being an idiot vs. Paul Ryan not being an idiot:
Double standards are Paul Ryan being elected at 28 and immediately being given the benefit of his ill-considered policies considered genius; and me winning a primary at 28 to immediately be treated with suspicion & scrutinized, down to my clothing, of being a fraud. https://t.co/KipcyHaaAb

As we’ve pointed out in the past, picking on Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez over her wardrobe is indeed petty and dumb and unhelpful. But there’s absolutely nothing wrong with shining a spotlight on her flaming ignorance with regard to economics and policy and pretty much everything else she spouts off about. She needs to get off her high horse, put down the victim card, and engage in some serious introspection. Because, as usual, she’s doing herself zero favors with this tantrum.
I wonder if there were other factors besides age in those determinations? https://t.co/IDUF3h0EMB

Paul Ryan was far from perfect, but by the time he was 28, he had a hell of a lot more experience under his belt than Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. Not to mention a significantly higher number of functional brain cells.
It's totally because you're a woman and not because you're an ignorant child with bartending as your only credible life experience. https://t.co/LRhm8aRfRH

It’s almost cute that Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez thinks she’s a victim of sexism (and maybe racism, too, while she’s at it) when really she’s just a victim of her own ignorance.
Paul Ryan also did not say ridiculous things on twitter at 28. So there’s that ??♂️

Paul Ryan knows what the three branches of the federal government are. He also knows the Constitution.

Paul Ryan actually knew what he was talking about BEFORE he went out for election. AND he never once mentioned "3 Chambers of Government". You are a tool.

He actually knew what the three branches of government were. You’re comparing apples and oranges.

The differences between you and Paul Ryan became crystal clear when you opened your mouth. Don't act like a victim.

She literally doesn’t know how to act like anything else.
At what point will political pundits start leveling a charge against Ocasio-Cortez for being a divisive figure who doesn’t appear to have any interest in compromise or civility? https://t.co/SYrm5uQW5t

The answer is no point. At no point. Not as long as she’s got a (D) after her name.
