As Twitchy told you, earlier today, Donald Trump released a statement on Saudi Arabia that failed to condemn them or threaten any action over the death of journalist Jamal Khashoggi. Trump’s statement — just like Trump himself — certainly shouldn’t be immune from criticism. But we also feel quite comfortable saying that Samantha Power has no business wagging her finger at Trump over this. Not after what she’s done.
And yet, here she is:
It IS a mean & nasty world, but Trump’s siding with the meanest and nastiest out there (whether Duterte, Sisi, Putin, or assassin MBS) will leave the world even nastier. This statement is a green light for would-be murderers in countries that have things Trump thinks we need. https://t.co/YIN6uXUGpj

Oh, honey.

She really should’ve sat this one out.
Do you realize who you are and who your former boss is?

yeah…you're credible… #RedLineObama

The all star foreign policy team that brought us red lines in Syria has some thoughts https://t.co/soh213W7gE

How much of a green light were your unenforced red lines for Assad to use chemical weapons?
— Comfortably Smug (@ComfortablySmug) November 20, 2018
Tell us more about taking a stand against bad guys. I’ll be over here waiting behind an imaginary red line.

Nothing new. Only different words. You and Obama accepted what Putin, Sisi, Saudi’s, Iran, and Assad did. Only had different rhetoric. Same policies. Different words.

What did you or your administration do when Russia shot that airplane down, killing many?!! Oh that's right, NOTHING! Maybe you should just shut your big mouth!
— HappyGirl (@JL42789377) November 20, 2018
It was awesome when Putin blew a passenger jet out of the sky killing everyone on board and these people just shook their heads in disapproval while media shrugged it off.

It's almost like they didn't care about Saudi Arabia until a journo was affected, Yemen literally didn't exist until like a month ago!
— Comfortably Smug (@ComfortablySmug) November 20, 2018
Almost as bad as siding with Iran.
We disagree with Trump’s statement, and we criticized it, but you did far worse. https://t.co/STwBBI5WLQ

Am I to understand that no one was murdered during the Obama administration by "the meanest and nastiest" regimes in the world?
Cause, I think a few seconds of googling will show quite a different story. https://t.co/HezRZrdkFi

You made a horrible deal with Iran, the worlds leading sponsor of terror.
Take a seat.
