As Twitchy told you earlier, in a recent tweet, Donald Trump referred to Omarosa Manigault Newman as a “dog.” Not exactly taking the high road, is it? But, unlike what many members of the Resistance are claiming, the insult isn’t racist on its face.
In light of @realdonaldtrump calling @OMAROSA a dog, keep in mind it’s a favorite insult of Trump’s. Just a sampling of who else he’s compared to a dog — Bannon, Mitt Romney, David Gregory, Erick Erickson, Brent Bozell, Glenn Beck, Mubarak, Kristen Stewart, Jeremiah Wright, etc. pic.twitter.com/NKztOJAGpA

And for what it’s worth, Omarosa’s not exactly immune to personal attacks, either. At least not according to former “Celebrity Apprentice” contestant Piers Morgan. Morgan didn’t seem terribly bothered by Trump’s characterization of Omarosa as a “dog.” At least not for the same reason the Resistance is so upset:
This is an outrageous slur.
Dogs are loyal, kind, affectionate creatures. https://t.co/w1zsGVF2d4— Piers Morgan (@piersmorgan) August 14, 2018
So you approve this tweet? No condemnation at all.. https://t.co/AxzyLPrvKa

Guess he’s saving his condemnation for Omarosa:
Omarosa called me a lot worse than that every day for 4 weeks on Celebrity Apprentice – including a 'f**king f*ggot'.
I'm just upset for all dogs who've been unfairly smeared here. https://t.co/uzhJzNYH1L— Piers Morgan (@piersmorgan) August 14, 2018
Oh.
Well that makes it ok then?

No, it doesn’t make it OK. But assuming Morgan is accurately representing Omarosa’s remarks about him, it does dull the shine on the halo the media and Resistance have bestowed upon the woman they reviled not so long ago.
