As Twitchy told you earlier, Chuck Todd breathlessly made the easily disprovable claim that “it’s always with an African-American when [Donald Trump] questions intelligence.”
2/ This statement by @chucktodd below is just so without foundation it's amazing he can say it with a straight face: "It’s always with an African-American when he questions intelligence.”https://t.co/IfpUTlh57w pic.twitter.com/cKGxq7FiYW

Weekly Standard contributor Jeryl Bier quite thoroughly demolished Todd’s claim. That should’ve been a lesson for anyone else who thought they’d try to run with that particular narrative.
Alas, some people never learn. The Washington Post’s Philip Bump offered up an “analysis” of those to whom Trump has referred as stupid:
Who Trump has called stupid since he declared his candidacy. https://t.co/Azjeb7rG6J
— Philip Bump (@pbump) August 6, 2018
Honest question: At this point, is there anyone who doesn’t know that Donald Trump frequently refers to people he dislikes as “stupid”? Did we really need an “analysis” of this?
As it turns out, we did. Because it’s a lot harder to prove he’s racist without a patented WaPo “analysis.” Bump didn’t really highlight the racism angle in his tweets, but fortunately, his colleague Aaron Blake picked up the slack:

Of the last 21 people Trump has called "stupid" (or some variant), 12 have been blackhttps://t.co/dVcDAisCaI pic.twitter.com/Y7qyBYJ06s

Yeah? And? Bump even writes:
There is one consistent theme to Trump’s use of the term that the preceding paragraph should make obvious: Stupid people are the ones who criticize and oppose him. In the primaries, that was mostly people from his own party. Afterward, that has been less likely to be the case.
In other words, Trump insults the intelligence of anyone he doesn’t like. If that person happens to be black, well, that’s just the way it is. If anything, Trump’s a pretty equal-opportunity hater.
So he is an equal opportunity name-caller. Stupid tweet.

The media are so hell-bent on creating beefs where there aren’t any, it’s really hard to take them seriously when Trump says or does something unequivocally awful.
OK, not a Trump fan here, but it's not like all the previous ones don't matter. LOL.
I almost think you people overthink Trump. If you like him, he likes you and you're smart. If you don't like him, he hates you and you're stupid. And since there is a big racial split… https://t.co/6D5xqaf0d4

Okay, so? He also says nice things about white and black people.
Gee. It's almost like race isn't what determines his reaction to things.

Almost.
