Marine and Iraq War vet Maura Sullivan is running for U.S. Congress in New Hampshire, and gun control is apparently a major part of her platform:
I know weapons. Part of my job in the Marines was overseeing the safe storage of weapons. I’ve fired machine guns many times. Let me be very clear: assault weapons- the weapons of war our team used in Iraq- have no place on the streets of the United States. Period. #nhpolitics pic.twitter.com/Z7eQHtL9Bz

Wounded Warrior J.R. Salzman, who’s got no time for B.S. gun control talking points from anybody, took Sullivan to the woodshed:
You don’t know weapons that well if you think an AR15 is equivalent to an M16 or M4, or you think you can walk into a gun store and buy the same weapons we used in Iraq. You’re either ignorant or you’re lying. https://t.co/d7yTxFYg6G
— J.R. Salzman (@jrsalzman) May 4, 2018
And which “machine guns” did you fire many times? 240G? M249SAW? M2? If you’re going to tout your record on guns, then we need specifics.
— J.R. Salzman (@jrsalzman) May 4, 2018
It’s mind blowing to see people who never left the f-ing wire tout their war experience with guns.
— J.R. Salzman (@jrsalzman) May 4, 2018
POG.
— J.R. Salzman (@jrsalzman) May 4, 2018
Just once I would like to see one of these asshats be honest. “I was a POG who never left the wire. I only carried my M16 back-and-forth to the DFAC, and fired it once a year to qualify. I’m not an authority on guns. That said, here’s my opinion on them.” Is that so hard?
— J.R. Salzman (@jrsalzman) May 4, 2018
Apparently it is.
Thank you for your service, Ms. Sullivan, but with all due respect, machine guns and “weapons of war” aren’t on the streets. Which renders your platform … pretty much pointless.

Well, then I guess it’s a good thing that “weapons of war” aren’t available for sale to the general public in the U.S.

Thanks for your service
Pity you didn't learn anything about the foundation you were sworn to protect and defend.— Chief (@Savy_fan) May 4, 2018
Not only that, but the weapons we used in Iraq, or any other theater aren't on our streets unless they are there illegally. Meaning, we didn't use AR15s there, which you should know if you're being truthful
— Chief (@Savy_fan) May 4, 2018
I served in the beloved Corps too, and no, M-16’s are not the guns we have we have on the street.
— Jeremy (@jrank0012) May 4, 2018
and we don't have machine guns on the streets of the US. PERIOD. Stop trying to twist the truth
— Gay Conservative (@GayConservativ3) May 3, 2018
And you're LYING if you say they are. When's the last time you saw a machine gun on any streets in the U.S.? Go back to Chicago. We have enough home grown LYING DEMOCRATS in #NHpolitics
— Kimberly Morin (@Conservativeind) May 1, 2018
Name one instance when an M4 or M16A2 was used in a crime on the streets of the United States?
Typical Dem: I shall run on the strength of an emotionally-charged lie.

"Everyone knows I'm lying about AR's being weapons of war, but I'm going to go ahead and say it anyway because narrative"
— John Collins (@VStrom_John) May 3, 2018
Um. It is apparent storing weapons doesn't give you any knowledge of weapons. Not sure what machine guns have to do with anything, but good for you.
Respectfully, you don't know what you're talking about.
