Michael Wolff will be damned if he can’t squeeze out a 16th minute of fame. That’s why the “Fire and Fury” author is crawling even deeper into the gutter to vomit up this latest slime:

Wolff told Bill Maher that he couldn’t explicitly report the alleged affair between Trump and Haley because “It was so incendiary that I just didn’t have the ultimate proof.” But since when does Michael Wolff need proof to make explosive accusations?
More from the Daily Mail:
“You just have to read between the lines,” Wolff told Maher [during a taping of “Real Time with Bill Maher”]. “It’s toward the end of the book. You’ll know it. Now that I’ve told you, when you hit that paragraph you’re going to say, ‘Bingo.'”
Maher asked if the hint was about “somebody [Trump’s] f***ing now.”
“It is,” Wolff responded.
As David Martosko reports, Wolff is referring to a passage in “Fire and Fury” in which he claims Haley has spent a lot of time alone with Trump on Air Force One.

It’s malpractice, is what it is. It’s slime. It’s a smear job. It’s smut for smut’s sake.
What a pig!

Nikki Haley doesn’t deserve this.
Michael Wolff is a garbage person who wrote a garbage book and anyone who lends credence to his baseless rumormongering is garbage too.https://t.co/NVzK8YqkI9— JERRY DUNLEAVY (@JerryDunleavy) January 26, 2018
She certainly doesn’t deserve it. But true lady that she is, she pushed back at Wolff’s smears with more grace and class than he could ever hope to have — and certainly more than he deserves:
“He says that I’ve been talking a lot with the president in the Oval [Office] about my political future. I’ve never talked once to the president about my future and I am never alone with him.”
Haley said Wolff’s insinuation is a symptom of the sexist atmosphere successful women endure when they have to dismiss accusations of sleeping their way to the top.
“At every point in my life I’ve noticed that if you speak your mind, and you’re strong about it, and you say what you believe, there is a small percentage of people that resent that. And the way they deal with it is to try and throw arrows – lies or not,” she said.

The Wolff book was supposed to devastate the White House, but it has become a far more devastating indictment of journalism. Absurd amount of credibility given to book full of obvious falsehoods by media people who personally know the claims are false. https://t.co/yPP9PSw7Ng

If Michael Wolff didn't have enough evidence to state as fact that Haley was having an affair, his going around strongly hinting at it for attention seems really skeezy and unethical https://t.co/ScJgtd1bpR

"Skeezy and unethical" sums up Wolff pretty well https://t.co/sqsaZPjUq5

So, will Wolff manage to find a shred of integrity buried somewhere deep within his twisted soul?
.@MichaelWolffNYC, apologize to @nikkihaley and her beautiful family.
You are a scumbag who would do and say anything for a buck! pic.twitter.com/qSzF09yNWs

Let’s just say that based on what we’ve seen from him this far, we won’t hold our breath.
