Last October, Eric Bolling revealed that his 19-year-old son’s death had been caused by an accidental overdose of drugs, including opioids. The White House’s effort to combat the opioid crisis is giving him hope that, while it’s too late for his own son, it’s not too late to save others’ lives:

Bolling also revealed more details about his son’s deadly overdose:
Accidentally taking a Xanax laced with Fentanyl killed our son. “Bad batch” they called it. Take the time to have an open and honest conversation with your kids about this prolific killer. It may save a life. https://t.co/6o3hH5OBtw

Regardless of how you may feel about Bolling’s politics, on this, he’s right. Awareness is key to fighting the scourge of opioid abuse.
Xanax, Ritalin, Adderall, etc are prevalent on college (and high school) campuses. Much of the supply is “street” rather than doctor prescribed.

You must be proactive in watching what she takes. Count the doses. Don’t ever let up on your vigilance. My opinion here. https://t.co/AXVsq94iyY

Fentanyl is a potent pain killer. Mixing it with another drug or alcohol is a lethal combination. As an ER nurse, I saw young people die of overdoses. They never ever thought it would kill them.

We hope that Bolling and his family continue to heal following their tremendous loss — and that his efforts to raise awareness prove fruitful.
