Many Dems and progressives (but we repeat ourselves) have busied themselves in the aftermath of today’s mass shooting in San Bernardino by mocking and calling out Republicans and conservatives who tweeted their “thoughts and prayers” for the victims.
Connecticut Sen. Chris Murphy was among them:
Your "thoughts" should be about steps to take to stop this carnage. Your "prayers" should be for forgiveness if you do nothing – again.
— Chris Murphy (@ChrisMurphyCT) December 2, 2015
But as The Federalist’s Sean Davis found, Murphy wasn’t always so averse to prayers:

No kidding. Davis dug up some other tweets from a decidedly more prayerful Murphy:
My thoughts and prayers go out to the entire Charleston community as they grieve together today.

Davis also unearthed these tweets showcasing “thoughts and prayers” from other prominent Dems:

So, Sen. Murphy, when you’re finished calling yourself out as a hypocrite, maybe you’ll bust these Dems’ chops, too. It’s only fair, you know.
