This morning — the day before he’s scheduled to address Congress — Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu spoke before AIPAC. His speech was incredibly well received by the audience. By Al-Monitor’s Laura Rozen? Not so much. One thing in particular seemed to really stick in her craw:
Netanyahu wants to thank most especially members of Congress, Democrats and Republicans. (and the administration)? nothing.
— Laura Rozen (@lrozen) March 2, 2015
so no recognition of US administration yet, and Netanyahu shout outs for Dermer who helped politicize the relationship. Digging in
— Laura Rozen (@lrozen) March 2, 2015
Laura wanted to see some love for the Obama administration, dammit!
Would this suffice?
.@netanyahu “I deeply appreciate all the President Obama has done for Israel.”
— Eli Lake (@EliLake) March 2, 2015
"I am deeply grateful to his support & so should you be." @netanyahu #AIPAC2015 on Obama supporting Israel
— David M. Drucker (@DavidMDrucker) March 2, 2015
Nope. Still not good enough for Laura:
Finally. I deeply appreciate all President Obama has done for Israel. 5 minutes in? 10 minutes in?
— Laura Rozen (@lrozen) March 2, 2015
.@lrozen Now he's not respecting Obama fast enough? What is wrong with you? #NotACult

Apparently Netanyahu should have kicked off his speech with an ode to The One.

What nerve! RT @lrozen Finally. I deeply appreciate all President Obama has done for Israel. 5 minutes in? 10 minutes in?

There seems to be an expectation on your part that Netanyahu is supposed to grovel at Obama's feet. Why? https://t.co/Hu69IW2tto @lrozen
— RBe (@RBPundit) March 2, 2015
@lrozen What has he done for Israel? You want a thank you. Explain why he deserves one.
— Taro Tsujimoto (@RCannon74) March 2, 2015
It certainly isn’t for this:
@lrozen Because the prime minister must praise the man who called him 'chickensh*t.'
