Hey, maybe José Canseco has a shot at the Toronto mayorship after all.
This past May, following reports that Toronto mayor Rob Ford had been caught on video smoking crack cocaine, Ford denied having done the drug. But it seems he’s changed his tune:
Toronto Mayor Rob Ford admits to smoking crack cocaine in one of his 'drunken stupors'. About a year ago. Says he's not an addict.#robford

Let’s go to the horse’s mouth:
Yes I have smoked crack cocaine. But no, do I, am I am addict? No. Have I tried it? Probably in one of my drunken stupors, probably approximately about a year ago. I answered your question. You ask the question properly, I’ll answer it. Yes, I’ve made mistakes. All I can do now is apologize and move on.
“One of my drunken stupors”? That takes cojones:
"I only smoked crack because I was in a drunken stupor." You know, you just gotta give the guy some points for chutzpah there.

It’s somewhat refreshing that Ford’s not taking the “bitch set me up” route. At least the “drunken stupors” line suggests that he’s ultimately responsible for his being an idiot.
Honesty MT @jpodhoretz: Rob Ford w/maybe the greatest quote ever: "Yes I have smoked crack cocaine. Probably in one of my drunken stupors."

"Probably in ONE OF my drunken stupors." How many drunken stupors are we talking about here? http://t.co/UPhfYpR7h0

Inquiring minds wanna know. But even more than that, they wanna mock:
Rob Ford with maybe the greatest quote ever: "Yes I have smoked crack cocaine. Probably in one of my drunken stupors."

Let me get this straight. Rob Ford admits to smoking crack but his defense is that he has hammered at the time?

…Please be Andy Kaufman, Rob Ford. Please be Andy Kaufman, Rob Ford. Please be…

I think Rob Ford has a great future once he leaves office: New spokesperson for Egg Mktg Board: "Get Crackin' Toronto!"

Rob Ford wants to see the tape because he can't remember smoking crack. Sad. This is just so sad.

I'll be in Toronto next week. So I just go to the mayor's office for my crack?

How does it get worse for Toronto mayor caught on video smoking crack in a drunken stupor? He was wearing a Canadiens jersey.
