When it comes to acts of violence, the mainstream media never hesitates to get the “full story” on what motivated the perpetrator — provided they can somehow link the criminal to a right-of-center cause. But when alleged murderer Christopher Dorner’s manifesto emerged earlier today, revealing his hard-Left political views, most members of the media did their damndest to bury the truth. Because if there’s one rule by which the media must play, it’s this: never allow liberals to look bad.
Fortunately, blogger Ace of Spades isn’t afraid of offending anyone’s delicate sensibilities, and this afternoon, he embarked on an epic dismantling of the liberal media palace guard:
gee I can't figure out for the life of me why the media pushes the political orientation of some but not others
— Ursus, Director of Weather and Banana Programming (@AceofSpadesHQ) February 7, 2013
the media claimed that Palin inspired Loughner, though he did not; they got around this by invoking a foggy "toxic atmosphere"
— Ursus, Director of Weather and Banana Programming (@AceofSpadesHQ) February 7, 2013
Indeed. And we see this again and again.
now we learn that Floyd Corkins actually WAS inspired by the SPLC's "hate map;" they say nothing, and pretend they don't see the connection

Joseph Stack was first called a Tea Partier; when they found out he was a COMMUNIST, they called him "anti-government"….
— Ursus, Director of Weather and Banana Programming (@AceofSpadesHQ) February 7, 2013
hoping that would mislead people into thinking he was part of the "anti-government" party so much in the news
— Ursus, Director of Weather and Banana Programming (@AceofSpadesHQ) February 7, 2013
The WP (IIRC) actually went so far as to delete the pro-communist message from Stack's suicide note, so as to not harm the narrative
— Ursus, Director of Weather and Banana Programming (@AceofSpadesHQ) February 7, 2013
Here's how Stack ended his suicide note/notice of intent to plane-bomb the IRS:

The communist creed: from each according to his ability, to each according to his need
— Ursus, Director of Weather and Banana Programming (@AceofSpadesHQ) February 7, 2013
The capitalist creed: From each according to his gullibility, to each according to his greed
— Ursus, Director of Weather and Banana Programming (@AceofSpadesHQ) February 7, 2013
Those are the actual fucking facts. But the WP did not want to report facts; it wanted to push a false Narrative
— Ursus, Director of Weather and Banana Programming (@AceofSpadesHQ) February 7, 2013
And so they cut that out of the note, to keep the "Tea Partier" narrative alive.
— Ursus, Director of Weather and Banana Programming (@AceofSpadesHQ) February 7, 2013
.@brainross immediately sprang into action to report that lefties had sent him email tips that the Batman killer "might be a Tea Partier"
— Ursus, Director of Weather and Banana Programming (@AceofSpadesHQ) February 7, 2013
So apparently someone's political background IS important in shootings… or at least in SOME shootings.
— Ursus, Director of Weather and Banana Programming (@AceofSpadesHQ) February 7, 2013
But now an Obama-bot @piersmorgan-fan Gun Controller goes on a fucking murderous spree and the media doesn't cover it, it covers it up
— Ursus, Director of Weather and Banana Programming (@AceofSpadesHQ) February 7, 2013
@hale_razor also claimed to be a tea partier in the early going, or some kind of conservative extremist.
— Ursus, Director of Weather and Banana Programming (@AceofSpadesHQ) February 7, 2013
@braveinnyc oh that really matters to me because I have Mind Heroes like the left does. thank you.
— Ursus, Director of Weather and Banana Programming (@AceofSpadesHQ) February 7, 2013
.@gabrielmalor compiled a list of Killers Whose Political Affiliation Mattered (Until They Turned Out to be Leftists) http://t.co/jo8yn56l
— Ursus, Director of Weather and Banana Programming (@AceofSpadesHQ) February 7, 2013
and then of course political leanings became mere happenstance and not worth mentioning. Via @LilMissRightie

"nothing to do with politics" is precisely what the media assumes in one case: When it's a liberal.
— Ursus, Director of Weather and Banana Programming (@AceofSpadesHQ) February 7, 2013
when it's a liberal or a leftist, it's "nothing to do with politics." Even when Loughner turned out to be a Truther– a left-wing conspiracy
— Ursus, Director of Weather and Banana Programming (@AceofSpadesHQ) February 7, 2013
…the media still insinuated he was a Palin-fan spurred by the "toxic" atmosphere of the right. It had EVERYTHING to do with politics.
— Ursus, Director of Weather and Banana Programming (@AceofSpadesHQ) February 7, 2013
So long as a connection can be drawn from a Republican to a shooter (or even not drawn, but fabricated), then politics matters.
— Ursus, Director of Weather and Banana Programming (@AceofSpadesHQ) February 7, 2013
But when a crazed leftist like Dr. Amy Bishop goes awry… well, that was Just One Woman's Failings with No Bigger Lessons to Ponder.
— Ursus, Director of Weather and Banana Programming (@AceofSpadesHQ) February 7, 2013
"We don't connect leftists to violence because leftism doesn't encourage violence," the media whispers, as they cuddle with Ayers and Dohrn
— Ursus, Director of Weather and Banana Programming (@AceofSpadesHQ) February 7, 2013
"There is nothing in leftism which could prompt violence," says the media, suggesting the CIA killed JFK rather than Soviet-defecting LHO
— Ursus, Director of Weather and Banana Programming (@AceofSpadesHQ) February 7, 2013
"Why everyone on the left is peaceful," the media instructs, overlooking Sirhan Sirhan and Charles Manson
— Ursus, Director of Weather and Banana Programming (@AceofSpadesHQ) February 7, 2013
"But it's not fair to link Charles Manson to the left!" the shout. "His ideology was twisted and crazy!" they say, linking Lougher to Palin
— Ursus, Director of Weather and Banana Programming (@AceofSpadesHQ) February 7, 2013
and by the way Loughner didn't read or listen to Palin, but Manson was big on spurring a black-panther-led revolution
— Ursus, Director of Weather and Banana Programming (@AceofSpadesHQ) February 7, 2013
as @michaleblum3 says, for the media, there are only two acceptable villains: 1, conservatives, 2, "society" generally
— Ursus, Director of Weather and Banana Programming (@AceofSpadesHQ) February 7, 2013
when they start talking about "society" you know it's a liberal. They could be more specific; they choose not to.
— Ursus, Director of Weather and Banana Programming (@AceofSpadesHQ) February 7, 2013
oh actually that list of left-wing killers (not the media would call them such; it was "society") was posted by @theh2 who's a hell of a guy
— Ursus, Director of Weather and Banana Programming (@AceofSpadesHQ) February 7, 2013
how would gun laws kept guns out of the hands of a fucking cop?
— Ursus, Director of Weather and Banana Programming (@AceofSpadesHQ) February 7, 2013
when the media gins up hate, they call it 'educating the public."
— Ursus, Director of Weather and Banana Programming (@AceofSpadesHQ) February 7, 2013
"Every idea is an incitement… Eloquence may set fire to reason." — Oliver Wendell Holmes, dissenting in Gitlow v. People
— Ursus, Director of Weather and Banana Programming (@AceofSpadesHQ) February 7, 2013
That is now the accepted law. But note only ONE party is demanded to give up its eloquence and ideas for the "public safety"
— Ursus, Director of Weather and Banana Programming (@AceofSpadesHQ) February 7, 2013
.@piersmorgan is an inarticulate imbecile but he pitches hot, crude rhetoric that certain simple minds find pleasing.
— Ursus, Director of Weather and Banana Programming (@AceofSpadesHQ) February 7, 2013
.@piersmorgan his ideas — his "incitements" — may "set fire to reason," at lest in those rather short on reason.
— Ursus, Director of Weather and Banana Programming (@AceofSpadesHQ) February 7, 2013
No one in the media would ever suggest that @piersmorgan modify his crude carny-barking just because an idiot might be inspired by tit.
— Ursus, Director of Weather and Banana Programming (@AceofSpadesHQ) February 7, 2013
But that is the demand the media lays at conservative feet every day — you MUST give up vigorously agitating for your political beliefs…
— Ursus, Director of Weather and Banana Programming (@AceofSpadesHQ) February 7, 2013
…or else, gee whiz, a Maniac with a Gun might do someone some harm.
— Ursus, Director of Weather and Banana Programming (@AceofSpadesHQ) February 7, 2013
If the media doesn't ask @piersmorgan or ever the demagogue @barackObama to give up their ideas, how can it ask others to that?
— Ursus, Director of Weather and Banana Programming (@AceofSpadesHQ) February 7, 2013
It's because they're demagoguing this themselves; the right losing its voice isn't just an acceptable cost, it's the primary benefit of it.
— Ursus, Director of Weather and Banana Programming (@AceofSpadesHQ) February 7, 2013
Anyone in the media asking the SPLC to tone down its fundraising-off-"Hate" drives and stop branding people criminals for disagreeing?
— Ursus, Director of Weather and Banana Programming (@AceofSpadesHQ) February 7, 2013
Nope! Not at all. If some violence results from THAT agitation it's a cost we'll just all have to pay.
— Ursus, Director of Weather and Banana Programming (@AceofSpadesHQ) February 7, 2013
But if Glenn Beck Says a Dirty Word, well then. Now we can demand he cease agitating. For the public good, you understand.
— Ursus, Director of Weather and Banana Programming (@AceofSpadesHQ) February 7, 2013
i finally got my words out — I'd been blocked by anger until now http://t.co/MUVhcC5w

Just devastatingly brilliant. Be sure to read the whole thing.
