Actor and comedian Albert Brooks clearly isn’t impressed with the progress of fiscal cliff negotiations. This afternoon, he proposed a way to force legislators to get serious: don’t pay them.

It’s an interesting idea, but others aren’t convinced that it would produce the desired effect, simply because many in Congress aren’t exactly lacking when it comes to income:
