Anyone who has spent any time at all trying to work with a federal government agency knows the workers are not always the best. And honestly, knowing they have no consequences and zero competition, I've never been surprised that they don't work all that hard or treat their customers, aka the American people, all that great. Their one redeeming quality, in my humble opinion, is that they at least do not try to pretend they care about their job or make me, as a customer, feel appreciated.
In fact, most of the time I've had to deal with a federal employee, they've made me feel like I'm inconveniencing them.
This is probably why so many Americans are okay with Trump holding them accountable for their behavior. It's never happened before, not once. And now that Trump is back in office and treating them like employees providing an actual service to customers, they don't know what to do with themselves.
Adding insult to injury, the Left is very emotional about what is happening, pretending that these jobs are so much more important than any other.
Like this broad insisting, they work tremendously hard.

No, really:
Federal employees work tremendously hard. These lies seemed designed to distort public opinion against public servants. They are the best of us. https://t.co/MsNFlxtUr0

They are the best of us?
Really?
That angry, bored, impersonal automaton putting me on hold for 20 minutes only to tell me that I've contacted the wrong office is the best of us?
Yeah. No.
