I knew there would be 'different' alliances down the road as Trump ran his campaign, especially when he joined with Robert F. Kennedy Junior. MAGA and MAHA disagree on much while still agreeing on much ... which is kind of wild. That tells us just how badly Democrats effed up this country, that people with very different ideas and beliefs can come together and vote for the same candidate.
Now, as many of us know, Trump spent decades as a Democrat and even now is more of a populist than a conservative. It's why he appeals to so many different groups of people from som many different backgrounds. Now, before anyone starts giving me a hard time for pointing out he's not a conservative I will say that we have not had a president who truly loves his country as much as Trump in a long long long time.
Which is ultimately why I believe so many people voted for him.
Yeah, they may disagree with him on this or that BUT he knows how to run this country and he loves it. That's good enough for me and tens of millions of others who watched the former administration crap all over our nation in the name of equity and diversity and other happy horse crap.
That's why, long story short, I sort of understand why Cenk Uygur has found a place in this movement. Note, I am not saying he's not a toad or that I'm ready to hang out with the guy HOWEVER, I get it. I see why he would support Trump ...

I also see why he'd think Democrats have lost their way.
As you all know, Cenk recently showed up at America Fest and it was an interesting welcome. MAGA, you know, the big mean scary haters of the country, welcomed him warmly and only booed him when he whined about gun rights. Ugyur himself posted about it on X:
We talked about some of our agreements and disagreements - and I did get booed at least once. But what’s most important is how much we agree on core issues like corruption and war. You have to give credit to MAGA for wanting to have a conversation and being really welcoming. https://t.co/mRD6ReeUKQ

He continues:
To be fair, @charliekirk11 told them not to boo, but I provoked them on gun control. And I don’t mind the boos when we disagree. I’m encouraged much more by the applause on the agreement - including on how much we both hate Mitch McConnell and Dick Cheney!

And to my friends on the left, talking to someone is not an indication of universal agreement. It’s an indication that we have started to become America again, where we actually have conversations about our opinions. And we do it without hating each other.

Again, I'm not sure if this is an alliance or a 'truce' of convenience, but if even more person is turning away from woke politics and ideas, I'll take it. Cautiously.
