After Department of Justice (DOJ) Inspector General Michael E. Horowitz released his report on J6 MANY questions have come up about the committee itself and what they may and may not have done correctly. Or ethically. Or heck, even legally. For example, it looks like Liz Cheney may well have tampered with a witness and it has been suggested that she be criminally investigated for it. And of course, the witness she tampered with is Cassidy Hutchinson.
At the time of Hutchinson's testimony, many of us watching and reporting on it felt like none of it made a whole lot of sense and was likely untrue. Remember how she claimed Trump somehow magically took over the limo ... from the backseat? Yeah, none of it felt quite right, and now we know that it's very possible she was providing testimony in a way that was not entirely of her own doing.
It's interesting looking back knowing what we know now, especially interviews Hutchinson did at the time.
How could Jake Tapper have not seen a ton of red flags here?

2023. Super serious journalist Jake Tapper asks serial liar Cassidy Hutchinson if she thinks that her testimony is going to send Trump to prison. 🤣

Shockingly, Jake didn't see any red flags while interviewing her. pic.twitter.com/esggiFslsU
People telling the truth don't get lost over and over again talking about what may or may not have happened. I honestly lost track of the number of times she couldn't remember what the question was or where she was going with an answer.
Serious red flags, Jake.
But you know, CNN is CNN.
