The Washington Post is in trouble, folks. Now, I realize if we switched places, they would have a good time mocking Twitchy as some evil conservative white supremacy-fueling hate site or whatever, but I can't quite bring myself to take joy from their failing. Granted, they did this to themselves, spending years now dividing people and pandering to the worst sort of politicians ... I still feel for some of them. Notice, I said some of them.
Not all of them.
There are still idiots on their staff worried about the color and sex of new hires.
No, really.
"We are losing large amounts of money. Your audience has halved in recent years. People are not reading your stuff. I can’t sugarcoat it anymore,” WaPo CEO and publisher Will Lewis told staff Monday, amid a major leadership shakeup at the paper: https://t.co/qNHQWFA6ho

The CEO literally tells them NOBODY IS READING YOU, and they still don't get it.
He tells them that they lost half their audience and are consistently losing money and their concern is making sure new hires meet a gender and racial quota.

That should tell you everything you need to know about the priorities of some of the activists dominating that newsroom… https://t.co/1UDWoQt31T
His post continues:
That should tell you everything you need to know about the priorities of some of the activists dominating that newsroom and exemplifies the problem. That’s not getting fixed without major personnel changes.
So while I feel for the outlet as a whole, the idiots whining about sex and race even as it becomes clearer that this concern is destroying the outlet get zero sympathy. They are a poison, a cancer even, and if the CEO doesn't figure that out and remove the illness, his outlet will likely fail.
Wow, that's dramatic, even for me.
