I'm not crying ... YOU'RE CRYING! RIP Dave trends after woman shares beautiful story about her friend Dave passing

It’s rare that I come across anything on Twitter that really makes me think.

Or feel.

Ok, so that’s not entirely true, there are plenty of things I find that make me think, ‘What the Heck,’ and plenty of stupid people who make me feel like banging my head into a wall, but it’s rare that I come across a thread that actually resonates with me on a personal level. Anyone who knows me knows this is true, I tend not to be overly emotional or … well, emotional at all. Honestly, anyone who works in right-leaning media has to keep it all in check because otherwise, we’d never stop crying.

Or throwing up.

Or banging our head against a wall.

But this thread from Jessie Renee hit home for me on so many levels … I won’t go into too many details but I also had a ‘Dave,’ it just so happened to be a friend my own age who did these things for me when I had no one else. I hope you enjoy her thread as much as I did.

Grab some tissue.

We all need a Dave.

You’ll see why as you continue …

Mom wasn’t there on any level, but Dave was.

He saved her life.

That’s pretty amazing, right?

Talk about a real bond.

Lots of us are weirdos anyway when we haven’t lost our best friend, pretty sure it’s ok to be a weirdo for a bit.

You can have a good life in spite of your mom, or a bad one because of her.

As I said, I won’t go into detail, but this part right here … this one. All day this.

Dave was a very wise man.

She has already changed people’s lives by sharing this. I hope she knows that.
