Late last week, Alyssa Milano called for a #SexStrike in response to the pro-life GA bill.
No, she doesn’t live in Georgia.
No, it’s none of her business.
But that hasn’t stopped her from sticking her ‘needs a hobby’ nose where it doesn’t belong.
Interestingly enough, pushback against this strike has come from all sides of the aisle because many women feel like using sex as a means to bribe or threaten men is the opposite of empowerment. It treats sex like a commodity which makes women … well, you get the picture.
Alyssa penned an op-ed on her strike

So holding sex hostage stops women from being treated as second-class citizens?
Who takes this crap seriously?
You know what, don’t answer that.
From CNN:
So now that we have your attention: Our reproductive rights are blatantly and systematically being stripped away before our very eyes. Abortion care is a normal and at times necessary medical procedure, but anti-choice activists have strategically chipped away at abortion rights and access for decades, with the hopes of overturning Roe v. Wade.
The attempts to treat women as second-class citizens have become increasingly brazen, and just last week Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp signed the heartbeat bill,” which bans most abortions as early as six weeks into pregnancy. The bill also allows a fetus to be counted in the census and can be claimed as a dependent minor on income taxes.
Whoa boy.
But wait, it gets dumber.
A #SexStrike is a way to target straight, cisgender men so they may feel the physical consequences of our reproductive rights being systematically eliminated. This form of protest has the potential to raise the issue far beyond the usual groups engaged in debates about reproductive health. It’s a way to ignite conversation and help everyone understand the gravity of the situation and the immediate need for swift action.
‘Targeting cisgender men.’
Well, that’s a winning strategy. Oh wait, nope.
Op-ed on the #SexStrike for your reading pleasure.

Is it just our imagination or is she trying to look like Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez?
Anyone who spends this much time on Twitter isn’t having sex. And neither was @BetteMidler
— AJ Benza❌ (@RealAJBenza) May 14, 2019
That’s RIGHT, Bette is taking part.
And there was great rejoicing.
I think your intentions are good, but this concept is honestly super sexist because it feeds into the narrative that women use sex to get what they want and men are sex crazed pigs who will say or do anything for sex. That’s the least of the problem though. A sex strike will not

Change a thing because women who care about women’s rights likely aren’t having sex with conservative guys who don’t care. The only men being deprived of sex would be men who actually do give a damn about us. A sign of an unhealthy relationship is when a partner withholds sex or

Uses sex to get what they want and this is basically that on a much larger level. It’s a fallacy to say it has worked in the past because you’re not depriving the problem group from sex at all. You’re just amusing them. The more you continue to preach this sex strike thing the

More ridiculous the left looks
— ??Snarky Blonde?? (@Orvieto2016) May 13, 2019
Super sexist.
Alyssa I used to be on your side…until a woman took my son's right to be a father away
Without consent she aborted what would have been his 1st child
All abortions should be approved by the father
dna test mandatory with father's consent
1 less grandchild for me
WE STILL CRY!— MrsIngram (@proudRedKansasn) May 14, 2019
It's not about treating women as second class citizens its about saving the lives of innocent babies who deserve to be born and thrive
Their lives matter too. #BabyLivesMatter #AbortionIsMurder #ProLife— Jen Outlaw (@dragonfly575) May 14, 2019
As a republican, I support your sex strike
— Saladino for Congress (@JoeySalads) May 13, 2019
HA! We see what he did here.
And hey, we support Democrats not having sex as well. GIRL POWER and stuff.
