Dagummit, those Covington Catholic High School kids were wearing MAGA hats and Kirsten Powers is bound and determined to make sure the incident is all their fault even if the raw video footage shows otherwise.
And she wonders why she’s getting ratio’d to heck and back on her thread.
1) I second this AND a) I call BS on the idea that they just burst into cheers randomly. If they were at pro-life March and someone was speaking would they break into cheers to counter it? No. B/c it's disrespectful. https://t.co/EIsVjxW2rn
— Kirsten Powers (@KirstenPowers) January 20, 2019
She called BS. Well then gosh golly and gee, everyone should change their minds.
Oh wait, … nope.
2) Nathan Phillips says they chanted "build that wall." It's not clear from video what they are chanting so it can't be proven they weren't, tho they say they didn't. Amazing how many people automatically take the word of high school boys over a Vietnam vet and elder.
— Kirsten Powers (@KirstenPowers) January 20, 2019
Nathan Phillips also claimed something about being a Vietnam Vet, and seems to have a history of picking fights with high school kids for attention, but we digress. Also, she wants people to assume that since we can’t hear the chanting clearly these kids definitely said, ‘Build the wall.’
For real?
3) The boy who was sneering and standing close and staring Phillips down was clearly being disrespectful. Even if the claim that he was just enjoying the music was true that wouldn't make his behavior respectful.
— Kirsten Powers (@KirstenPowers) January 20, 2019
We’re thinking Kirsten needs to read Nick Sandmann’s statement.
Seriously.
Sneering?
Someone’s projecting.
4) Interesting to note that when a white Vietnam vet was ridiculed on SNL the right went on a (justified) tear; when it's an Indigenous elder they fall all over themselves to justify the bad behavior.
— Kirsten Powers (@KirstenPowers) January 20, 2019
HERE we go.
Holy crap, she is laying it on thick.
You don’t have to take either side at their word: I watched two hours of footage from before and after the incident, and it’s fairly clear Phillips misrepresented what happened. There was a hate group taunting the boys before Phillips showed up. https://t.co/zAwslrBDmq

BUT HE’S WEARING A MAGA CAP!
How did this not make it into the @nytimes story? its right there in the video. Or the white woman yelling at the boys for being a mob? Or the way the kid is laughing at Nathan Phillips before he blocks him. Doesn't match his statement at all. https://t.co/N6hsNa9GDO
— Kirsten Powers (@KirstenPowers) January 21, 2019
Oh, so she did read Nick’s statement, she just doesn’t believe him because you know, he’s wearing a MAGA hat and Trump bad or something.
RT: @AG_Conservative Imagine defending homophobic and racist adults just so you can justify your smears against a group of kids that were rejecting their homophobia and racism.

It’s disgusting, right?
What happened to Kirsten? Was the commentary she provided in the past not genuine? The Kirsten she’s become since joining the current employer is shallow, partisan, reactionary, and at times, cruel.

Kirsten wants every single kids comments or reaction to be dissected through a filter of assumed bad intentions, before considering if the group can be cleared of not being budding racist Nazis. What has happened to you?
— Sparktacular (@TheMainSpark) January 21, 2019
Trump broke a lot of people.
True story.
your ignorance to the facts of what happened is showing…you might want to fact check yourself before you look like a lying hypocritical fool…

Too late.
