As Twitchy told readers earlier, the Washington Free Beacon is offering up ‘honors’ for 2018 Men of the Year, and when dudes like Michael Avenatti are winning for helping Kavanaugh get his seat on the bench you KNOW it’s a parody.
This write-up on Charlie Kirk is pretty well done …
Charlie Kirk fights like Trump, he stares down Antifa thugs in the streets, and he owns the libs like no one else. That is why Kirk is a 2018 Washington Free Beacon Man of the Year! https://t.co/yXsjvT6Z1l pic.twitter.com/JCSXTwZrcu

From the Free Beacon:
Donald Trump’s takeover of the Republican Party precipitated the demise of many prominent members of the so-called “conservative” establishment. As the Old Guard’s influence over the American Right melts away, a New Wave of the conservative intelligentsia is rising from the ashes, injecting youthful exuberance and Trumpian swagger into a movement long in need of reform.
Few, if any, have risen faster, or staked a greater claim to the vanguard of this political zeitgeist than Charlie Kirk.
The 25-year-old activist and founder of Turning Point USA, the fastest-growing conservative student organization in the country, is a ubiquitous presence on Fox News, armed with facts, and pulling no punches as he meticulously dismantles the absurd talking points and quasi-religious tenets of the Modern Left.
So.
Good.
To be honest, though, the opening paragraphs could almost be a real honor, but this one …
There are moments throughout history, often difficult to recognize when we are in their midst, when history itself is in the making. Watching a young Michael Jordan take the court in Chapel Hill. Hearing a young Bob Dylan play sets at a beatnik coffee house in Greenwich Village. Seeing an amateur boxer by the name of Cassius Clay make mince meat of the Kentucky boxing scene. Those moments when great men reveal themselves as such, and dare us to shrug them off, or underestimate the heights to which their considerable talents will one day beckon them to reach.
Not so much.
And that the editor of Talking Points Memo didn’t know this was a parody makes it even funnier.
free beacon was supposed to be new gen neocon smarties type outfit. Guess that didn’t pan out. https://t.co/9lJWPaWBox

Josh. Really man? Even the headline gives it away … you know what, never mind.
His shaming the Free Beacon over this is SO 2018. Heh.
Pretty sure this is parody

Ya’ think? What gave it away?
Are you saying you don't think Charlie is like a young Bob Dylan?

You fell for the trap. They do this every year. Read the article.

In other words, read past a headline and then lighten up Francis.
