This editor ordered two ‘Fake News’ t-shirts after the media weenies starting whining about the shirt in the Newseum store. For one, the shirt is actually pretty cool in a 70s retro way and two, this editor also knew that the museum would cave to the pressure of the mob and eventually remove the shirt.
Which is hilarious when you think about it, a bunch of media types trying to silence a message on a t-shirt because they don’t like it.
And they wonder why we make fun of them.
Now, it sounds like even those of us who ordered and PAID FOR the shirts before they were pulled will likely not get them:
Dear @Newseum:
I don't want a refund. I want the item I bought before @brianstelter & @AaronBlake bullied you into removing them.
I purchased a full two days before you removed from the store. Please send me my shirt. pic.twitter.com/PkKlBVoH07

That we are even having this conversation is absolutely pathetic.
Sure, they removed the t-shirt:
We have removed the "You Are Very Fake News" t-shirts from the gift shop and online. We made a mistake and we apologize. A free press is an essential part of our democracy and journalists are not the enemy of the people. https://t.co/eLXa9t646g

But you’d think they’d fulfill the orders that had come through before the media’s temper tantrum …
I was actually considering ordering one —
You know, if you actually checked w/ Mike Lindell, you'd learn that if you stand by your principles, sales will soar.
But, you buckled? Shame.— Sandy (@RightGlockMom) August 5, 2018
Even sadder they may not be shipping the t-shirts that were ordered.

It gets worse.
And now I know I would never recommend this local pricey museum to any of my visiting friends. Thanks for the confirmation!

Caving to the social media mob is never a good idea, folks.
Shameful.

At this point, this editor has not received a shipping notice but has also not received a notification that the order has been canceled. We will keep you posted.
In the meantime, #FreeRobsShirt.
