Starbucks has a serious problem.
Between granting a bunch of homeless drug addicts access to their ‘restaurants’ and bathrooms, their image seems to be a tad bit tarnished.
At least in their own opinion.
For several hours this afternoon, we will close stores and offices to discuss how to make Starbucks a place where all people feel welcome.
Thank you for your patience and support as we renew our promise to make Starbucks an inclusive gathering place for all.
See you tomorrow.

Oh, that’s right, they’re doing the ‘Don’t Be Racist And Stuff’ training today or something.
Because you know, calling the cops on two men who were loitering is suddenly racially insensitive because they were black men.
Here’s the funny part, their own customers are telling them they’re NOT racist for calling the cops but it seems the coffee icon is having none of it.
So your gonna close your doors just because 2 African Americans was sitting down looking suspicious makes no since

There are instances when the police should be called, and this was not one of them.
— Starbucks Coffee (@Starbucks) May 29, 2018
Why, because of their skin color?
Loitering is loitering, folks.

Implicit bias and discrimination are bigger than Starbucks, but we are committed to being part of the solution. ?
— Starbucks Coffee (@Starbucks) May 29, 2018
So they’re closing down and lecturing their employees who may not have a racist bone in their bodies not to be racist.
Sounds legit.
With your new policy you realize all city locations are gonna turn into homeless shelters right? Have fun with that.

We respectfully request that customers experience our stores in a manner that maintains a welcoming environment by acting responsibly, communicating respectfully, being considerate of others, and using the space as intended. https://t.co/bTQZqgwcdA

HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA …
WOW.
Yeah, we’re sure drug addicts will absolutely respect this request.
No problem. We’ll get our coffee elsewhere. Permanently.

We'll be sorry to see you go. All customers deserve our respect and fair treatment every day, and we will invest—again and again—in our teams so they can deliver a great experience to every customer who comes through our doors.
— Starbucks Coffee (@Starbucks) May 29, 2018
Even if they’re loitering and using their bathrooms to do bad things.
This will not end well for Starbucks.

Yes. Implicit bias and discrimination are bigger than Starbucks, and our store closure represents one of many steps we’ll be taking to help our partners recognize bias and prevent discrimination in our stores.

R U paying baristas for tips they will be missing out? Maybe your board & execs should spend a week working in lower income area Starbucks as baristas! Maybe then U will finally address the real matter at your stores! #StartsAtTheTop #Homeless #FreeWiFi #NoSittingForPayingPeople

Partners (employees) will be paid for this time.
— Starbucks Coffee (@Starbucks) May 29, 2018
So that’s a no on their tips.
Their employees get to be lectured on being more sensitive while losing money today.
Awesome, Starbucks.
*shakes head*
