As Twitchy readers know, Dean Obeidallah posted a really stupid gif and attempted to literally commandeer Memorial Day for #TheResistance.
No, we’re not making that up.
This Memorial Day weekend lets honor the women and men who bravely sacrificed their lives fighting to protect our nation's freedoms by RESISTING Trump's attacks on our democracy. #TheResistance is the highest form of Patriotism! pic.twitter.com/lbGI61iikH

What a maroon, right?
Anyway, J.R. Salzman took Dean APART in a fairly brutal mini tweetstorm … that Dean absolutely had coming.
“#TheResistance” are a bunch of petulant children throwing a perpetual temper tantrum because they didn’t get their way in the last election. You’re not resisting anything, you’re pouting. https://t.co/2m1p8ehHR8

Yikes.
But Salzman is absolutely right.
Dean trying to make Memorial Day, a day where brave men and women who have truly given and sacrificed everything are honored, into a day spent championing a bunch of people screaming at the sky carrying their glitter-glue posters, and wearing pink vagina hats was repugnant.
But then again, it’s Dean Obeidallah we’re talking about here.
Repugnant is all he knows.
It got even worse …

Oh, that’s right.
Dean asked a vet if he was wearing a Nazi uniform and it turns out the avi was of his father who was killed in Vietnam. Now, Dean did sort of apologize but it was a disgustingly weak-ass apology where he was still trying to play the morally superior card with a Trump slam even AFTER he crapped all over the military.
He’s special.
And not in a good way.
These guys would be "resisting" any other Republican president, not just Trump.

This is absolutely true.
They’re not pouting. They’re throwing a full on temper tantrum of epic proportions which doesn’t seem to have an end date

The resistance movement means NOTHING on this precious holiday weekend!!
— Allison (@lyndraz5) May 27, 2018
It doesn’t really mean a whole lot even when it’s not a holiday weekend, but point taken.
The “Resistance” is who voted President Trump into office. When will people understand that?

Shhh. Don’t tell them.
