Heat knot series at one, could close out series with next three home games

For once in these NBA playoffs, Thursday night’s Game 2 of the NBA Finals was devoid of any controversy.

It was just a well-played, hard-fought game of basketball.

The Miami Heat took it 100-96 after Kevin Durant missed a game-tying shot with 9.9 seconds left in regulation.

LeBron James dominated, finishing with 32 points, eight rebounds, and five assists.

The series now shifts to Miami, where the Heat can theoretically close out the series with three consecutive wins.

(But we know, of course, that the NBA won’t let that happen.)
