Well, that’s a depressing way to commemorate the MLK holiday. A drive-by gunman reportedly shot 5 teenagers at an intersection in the Central City neighborhood named after Dr. Martin Luther King. A half-hour before the shooting, residents greeted the MLK parade.
NOPD Supt. Ronal Serpas says shortly after 1pm a gunman in a white sedan shot at 5 teenagers in front of a store on MLK.

Serpas says all five teenagers were hit by gunfire. They were take to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Serpas and neighbors say young men involved in shooting not listening to MLK message of peace.

NOPD: All victims from Central City shooting were teenagers; shooting not related to MLK day parade

No kidding.
